    Blood began to flow from the stones. The servants fled. Next morning the stones were covered with blood as well as the road all round. It was almost impossible to remove the blood. It was said that fairies of a neighbouring district fought the fairies that were left in charge of the stones and the fairies of the neighbouring district had the victory. The visitors put beautifiul tombstones in that field and those are there still. Cáirthín is the name of the field.
